A female photographer who covers the Minnesota Twins claims she was assaulted by All-Star Miguel Sano after an autograph signing in 2015. when he allegedly tried to drag her into a bathroom to hook up against her will.
'Every time I have to hear about how great people think Miguel Sano is, I'm reminded of how terrible he actually is and how he hurt me, ' wrote Betsy Bissen, whose Twitter bio lists her as a photographer for the blog TwinsDaily.com in addition to a role with the minor league St. Paul Saints.
In her Twitter post, Bissen says that Sano barbed her by the wrist and pulled her into a mall bathroom. 'It hurt, how badly he was grabbing at my wrist, but he wouldn't let go. "I didn't want to cause a scene, so I just went along", Bissen said in her post.
"No, he didn't rape me, but he sure did assault me", she wrote of the incident at an Apple store.
When it was time for Sano to leave, the vehicle was pulled up to a back door and Bissen and her boss walked him there. I was in a squatted position with my wrist throbbing, I screamed, no one came to help me. "It's been hard enough for me to come forward knowing there would be backlash, but it was time".
Bissen says she fought Sano off for a solid 10 minutes before he finally backed off.
Sano has denied that he assaulted Bissen, telling TMZ that "it never happened".
