Since then he has been on a minutes restriction and rested regularly since returning, in true Gregg Popovich fashion, but Leonard has been fairly productive (15.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game over just under 23 minutes per game).

Injuries have become a bit of an issue for Leonard recently, who got a late start to the 2017-18 season because of a quadriceps tendinopathy, an injury that had apparently been bothering him since the 2016-17 season. But a dismal road record (9-12) is a chink in that armor, particularly with five of their next six games coming away from AT&T Center.

Two other players are nursing injuries: guard Danny Green has a nagging groin injury that has forced him to miss eight games, including the last three in a row, and reserve forward Rudy Gay has been sidelined the last three games with a sore right heel that requires him to wear a walking boot.
