Skeptical readers of gossip columnist Michael Wolff's extended gossip column known as Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House have noticed that the author runs out of fly-on-the-wall gossip somewhere last summer, or just before Mr. Bannon's exit from the West Wing.
Reuters reports Bannon will sit down on Capital Hill on Tuesday.
Bannon's departure comes in the wake of the White House furor over his comments quoted in a new controversial book calling the 2016 Trump Tower meeting of U.S. President Donald Trump's eldest son with Russians "treasonous".
Trump and the White House have described the book as a work of fiction.
Chelsea fans unhappy with Antonio Conte after questionable substitutions in Leicester stalemate
He said: "I understand that the other teams try to kill (rival) teams and to anticipate the situation". Another day, another 0-0 draw for Chelsea .
"Steve's greatest asset is that he was able to convince a corrupt media that he was responsible for my win", Trump said. But Bannon was marginalized in the months before his ouster over Trump's concerns that the top aide was being viewed as an Oval Office puppeteer.
Bannon's spectacular downfall is a significant setback and part of a larger pattern of reversals for Breitbart and the other far-right and fascist-tinged big business forces he represents. But since Bannon's quotes in the Wolff book emerged, the White House began sending Republicans and conservative figures a clear message: Trump or Bannon. All this is joined by recent immigration measures by the head of the White House in recent days, such as the cancellation of the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) that saved the deportation until now to some 200,000 Salvadoran immigrants and their families. Linda Lavelle responded indignantly saying I smeared them and I responded that I don't smear but I warned her that Bannon was evil and I explained why with information then available from Breitbart News. "When he was sacked, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind", Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a press release on January 3.
But Trump left the door open when asked if the relationship was over permanently. The controversy ensued following the release of a book that featured Bannon criticizing the president and two of his children.
Mr. Bannon had already been on the outs with his former Prince for taking all the credit for the latter's improbable and regrettable election victory.
