The press conference was held at the house of Justice Chelameswar, who is lower in seniority only to the chief justice of India.
Addressing reporters after an hour-long meet on the matter pertaining to the unprecedented presser held by four of the top five senior most judges of the apex court, Manan Kumar Mishra, Bar Council of India chairman informed that they have unanimously made a decision to form a seven-member delegation of the council who will meet the judges of the top court.
In a stunning move, four of the senior-most judges of India's Supreme Court have publicly slammed the functioning of the country's top court and warned that democracy will not survive without an independent judiciary.
"It was most unfortunate that four senior judges held a press conference, sending out a message that all was not well with the Supreme Court and that the issue should have been sorted out internally", the BCI Chairman further stated.
"We have unanimously chose to form a seven-member delegation of the council who will meet Honourable Judges of the Supreme Court. It was meant to see that more transparency is there", he said. "We place it before people the of country", said Justice Gogoi. "Nothing beyond that", Justice Joseph said in Malayalam when local television news channels approached him at his ancestral home in Kalady near Kochi, seeking his reaction on Friday's development.
Freeland hails Trump's 'sensible' suggestion of NAFTA talks extension
Trump's proudest boast is the performance of the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones index since he became president. Trucks built there could be subject to a 25 percent tariff if the USA exits NAFTA.
Ranjan Gogoi, who was in Kolkata for a meeting of legal services authorities, also ruled out any crisis hitting the top court. The visuals showed Nripendra Misra driving to the CJI's official residence in New Delhi. The basic question which has come forward is: Has the event opened the gates of total chaos in the judiciary of the country?
The judgment had finally resulted in restoration of Harish Rawat-led Congress government in Uttarakhand. What the four Judges have done yesterday by holding the press conference to bring out their dispute in public is that they've denigrated the institution of judiciary.
The BCI cautioned the political parties and leaders from taking an "undue advantage" of the situation in the apex court. He said, "Judges are persons of wisdom and statesmanship and experience".
"It was unprecedented. Points raised by the Hon judges need to be looked into carefully, even Justice Loya's death needs to be investigated properly", Congress president Rahul Gandhi said while addressing the media in the party headquarter. If no consensus was achieved, other judges or members of the Bar Council could have been involved.
Singh also criticised the stand taken by the judges stating that the judgment which has been cited in the letter to highlight the delay in finalising Memorandum of Procedure was "already withdrawn by the CJI".
