New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman has filed a lawsuit against the Weinstein Company and its founders, Harvey and Bob Weinstein, alleging that they committed "egregious violations of New York's civil rights, human rights, and business laws". The suit alleges that the COO failed to protect the company's employees.
The NYPD is also investigating rape allegations against Harvey Weinstein.

"Any sale of The Weinstein Company must ensure that victims will be compensated, employees will be protected going forward, and that neither perpetrators nor enablers will be unjustly enriched".
According to the complaint, the primary job of one group of female employees at TWC was merely to accompany Weinstein to events and to facilitate his sexual conquests.
Schneiderman said Sunday that a four-month investigation into sexual harassment found "vicious and exploitative mistreatment of company employees". The lawsuit named his brother, Robert, and the board specifically.

One employee was even reportedly flown from London to NY to teach Weinstein's other assistants how to dress and smell more attractive to their boss, according to the complaint.
In all, more than 60 women have accused Weinstein of varying degrees of sexual misconduct.
Schneiderman's investigation reportedly discovered instances of Weinstein making death threats to workers while touting his connection to political influencers.
The suit charges that the human resources department at the Weinstein Company was completely corrupt.
