When we started planning out the set of improvements to players' Wishlists, we began with the frequent requests we see from the community.
Steam has long shown the discount and price for items on your Wishlist, but there hasn't been a way of sorting or filtering based on discounts. Is there anything you are hoping to grab in the Steam sale today?
Players can now apply a filter that hides non-discounted games and displays titles that currently only have a price reduction of at least 25 percent, 50 percent, or 75 percent.
Along with sorting by discount, users can also choose from various tiers of price, or filter to only see item price matching the Steam Wallet balance.
Winter Olympics 2018: American luger Emily Sweeney crashes on final run
Sweeney hit the turn at over 60 miles per hour , trying to use her feet to slow down her descent, but to no avail. Sweeney entered the final run in 14th place, having moved up one spot following her first two runs.
Check out the wishlist update by heading over to the Steam Blog's official announcement. Once applied, a wishlist filter will remain in effect until manually disabled. This makes it easy to find the best co-op games on your Wishlist, or quickly find a discounted horror game. All games on the Wishlist now have their release date included in the info box, too, which should be helpful when you're tracking the progress of a game currently in development. It's also now possible to exclude Early Access, pre-release, and VR-only games via a toggle.
Valve says this feature wasn't previously available because it didn't "want to make assumptions about which version" of a game you were interested in when multiple editions of the same game were available. Instead of an "Add to Cart" link, you'll see a "View Details" button.
Finally, games with a single purchase option can now be added directly to the user's cart from the Wishlist.
As always, Valve is looking for feedback on the new changes as well as suggestions on new features to add for the user experience.
