In footage released by the Department of Defense on Tuesday, the T-72 can be seen sitting stationary and appears to fire a round from its 125mm main gun just before being hit by the USA air strike that destroyed the vehicle.
The US-led coalition was established in 2014 to fight the Islamic State group in Syria and Iraq, but it has bombed troops loyal to Damascus on several occasions.
Their target was a base of the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces, which came under artillery fire.
The ISIS Hunters specifically condemned both the U.S. Coalition and the Kurdish forces that are now in control of the majority of the northeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
The Russians claim a handful of Russian "paramilitary contractors" were killed in the battle, while the Syrian government says US troops and their allies killed nearly a hundred Russians.
Some media reports said dozens or even hundreds of Russian mercenaries were killed in the attack but Zakharova dismissed these claims as "classic disinformation" spread by anti-regime militants.
"It was self-defense. Obviously, we are not getting engaged in the Syrian civil war", Secretary of Defense James Mattis said of the USA strikes over the weekend. It attributed 230 of those deaths to air strikes by the Syrian government and its allies, which include Russian Federation.
Mr Yavlinsky said fierce mercenary forces "are trained at Russian army facilities" and "receive military awards in the Kremlin" in secret.
Congress May Hold Steve Bannon in Contempt

More than 200 mercenaries, mostly Russians fighting on behalf of Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad, died in a failed attack on a base and refinery held by US and USA -backed forces in the oil-rich Deir Ezzor region, two of the Russians said.
However, the Secretary to the US Department of Defense, James Mattis denied having any knowledge of Russian fighters who were killed last week during the counter-attacks by American-led coalition forces.
Defense officials in Moscow continue to maintain the airstrike was an unprovoked attack against local forces, while the Assad government characterized the attack as a war crime.
"The US government has been instrumental in the growth of [ISIS] and terrorism in the Middle East", said the statement, sent by the head of the Mission's press office, Alireza Miryousefi. "The Russians professed that they were not aware when we called them about that force that had crossed the Euphrates".
Russian media said Russian private contractors were part of pro-Syrian government forces that advanced on oil fields in the Deir Ezzor province and were targeted by the United States. "The purposes for their stay in war zones are different, including participation in hostilities", Zakharova said, noting that it was hard to trace all of them.
He especially urged the three countries that have brokered localized cease-fires - Russian Federation and Iran, which back the government, and Turkey, which supports the opposition - "to use their influence to help reduce violence".
After having served in his current position for more than four years, "this is as violent and worrying and unsafe a moment as any that I have seen in my time as Special Envoy", Mr.de Mistura said. Vasily Nebenzya, Russian ambassador to the UN, called the United States presence in Syria "illegal" on Thursday during a closed-door meeting of the UN Security Council.
