If this scenario occurs, you can say "bye-bye" to Lamar Jackson putting on a Denver Broncos cap in April.
For Jackson, being confident enough in his ability as a quarterback first, runner second has given him the freedom to be himself.
Jackson was extremely likeable in his 15-minute interview with reporters. "Is there a quarterback that's gone and been a wide receiver [that's been] successful?"
The NFL Network reported Friday morning that a few teams had asked the Louisville quarterback to work out as a wide receiver. "I don't even know where that comes from".
He was bubbly and fun and often amusing Friday, like when he said of whether the wide receiver talk was disrespectful: "Yeah, that's insane, I thought I did a good job at quarterback".
When teams ask why they should draft him, Jackson has a ready answer. "That's strictly my position".

Marvel Studios then announced that the movie will be available in theaters for all. But it looks like Robert Downey Jr was impatient to see the film.
Jackson also clarified that his mother, Felicia Jones, is his manager and that he hired a lawyer to negotiate his contract rather than an agent because of the current rookie wage scale.
"I can break pressure and keep my eyes down the field", Jackson said, asked what he does well as a QB. "... I think if he's going to make it, he's going to make it as a quarterback in the right situation".
Jackson's 57 percent accuracy at Louisville is lower than scouts would like. If the Bills, with a coordinator also coming from the college ranks, can create an offense that lets Jackson shine, they could see success that has other teams attempting to mimic them.
"I'm mobile, I can hit any target on the field", Jackson said. "I like to see a guy with that kind of passion", Elway said. I can lead my team. I love to score. Belichick more than any coach could come up with numerous ways to get the ball in Lamar Jackson's hands, while at the same time grooming him as a possible Brady successor. "It may look like it, but I'm not". He could show a team just how bad he wants to be in the National Football League by showing off his total skillset on the practice field. Jackson doesn't plan to run the 40-yard dash, so people wondering how fast the man who has rushed for 4,132 yards the past three seasons combined might have to wait for his pro day. "It's just more motivation to go out there and show my ability".
"He is a special athlete", Beane said. "I'm not going to be a wide receiver at all". I still think he's going to get a chance to prove that he can play quarterback. I thought I did! He won the Heisman doing that. "Just going to high school, they said, 'You can't do this and that.' Got to college, was able to do it".
During his meeting with the Bills, Jackson probably had to watch plenty of film and draw up some plays.
