Roseanne returns original series stars Roseanne Barr, John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Lecy Goranson, Sara Gilbert and Michael Fishman, along with newcomers Emma Kenney, Alicia Goranson, Ames McNamara and Jayden Rey.
ABC says those numbers make "Roseanne" the highest rated sitcom on broadcast television since the 2014 season premiere of CBS's "The Big Bang Theory".
The first two episodes on Tuesday averaged a 5.1 rating in the key demo coming in at 18.1 million viewers.

"Roseanne" ran for nine seasons on ABC from 1988 to 1997, and Barr won Golden Globe and Emmy awards for her performances.
Roseanne, who voted Trump, has said she wants the revival, in which she is now a grandmother who voted for U.S. President Donald Trump, to portray a United States in which half the voters chose Trump in the 2016 election.

"I am so greatful to the fans of the Roseanne show for giving it a good Premiere rating".
