The bail plea hearing began in the Jodhpur sessions court at 10.30am today (6 April), with the defense presenting its statement and reasons why the actor should receive bail.
Speaking to a news channel, he said: "If it was not Salman Khan, bail would have been granted the next day".
Also, reports were doing rounds that Katrina Kaif along with Salman's sister Arpita Khan Sharma visited Siddhivinayak temple on April 4, a day before Salman's hearing in the blackbuck poaching case.
Ghai tweeted: "I am extremely shocked to hear Salman Khan being convicted... but also having full trust in Indian judiciary which has many other doors to appeal for final justice..."
But, even if he gets the bail, there are some formalities that needs to be completed by tomorrow only if Salman wants to get out from the jail and he don't want to spend another night behind the bars.
Legal counsel Anand Desai pointed out how Salman has been acquitted in other cases where the facts were the same as the 1998 poaching case.

Singh said that the actor had a blood pressure issue when he came inside the jail and the doctor of the prison dispensary checked him.
The blackbuck is an endangered species protected under the Indian Wildlife Act. Salman Khan and his Hum Sath Sath Hain co-stars Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Tabu and Sonali Bendre were accused of killing blackbucks near Kankani village of Rajasthan while shooting for their film.
Trade analysts said the Rs 4-5 billion riding on these films might be affected by his sentencing. As soon as the judgement was pronounced, other actors left the courtroom, while the police took Salman Khan into custody.
That could well be the name of a group of actors from Bollywood who have served time. Ahuja was on his way to becoming the next big thing in Bollywood with his brooding turn in films such as Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and Gangster but his career went south when his domestic help accused him of rape in 2009.
The actor, incidentally, has previously spent a total of 18 days in the jail in 1998, 2006 and 2007, all for poaching-related cases. That decision is now being challenged in the Supreme Court.
The order on Salman Khan's bail plea was reserved by a sessions court after the arguments in favour and against the bail were concluded on Friday.
