According to the FDA, at least 22 people have gotten sick because of the eggs.
Officials confirmed that the affected farm - Rose Acre Farms, which describes itself as the second-largest egg producer in the USA - has paused its egg distribution. "The facility includes 3 million laying hens with a USDA inspector on-site daily", said the FDA.
More than 200 million eggs distributed to restaurants and grocery stores in nine states, including Florida, have been recalled because of bacterial contamination.
In this case, twenty-two illnesses have been reported so far.

They were sold under the brands Country Daybreak, Crystal Farms, Coburn Farms, Sunshine Farms, Glenview, Great Value as well as at Walmart and Food Lion stores.
Consumers who have purchased shells eggs are being told to immediately stop using the eggs.
Healthy people affected with the illness can experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. The FDA noted that the affected eggs had a plant number P-1065 and a Julian date range of 011 to 102 printed on the side of each carton or package.
The infections were first reported in early March, and a lab on April 11 confirmed that a sample from the Hyde County farm matched a strain that was spurring the illness, the FDA said.
In addition, the company has voluntarily recalled over 206 million eggs.
