John Higgins says he has gained more respect for legendary Crucible almost man Jimmy White following his World Snooker Championship final defeat to Mark Williams.
After defeating Robert Milkin in the second round, the 43-year-old - who is the oldest victor in 40 years - said that he would do the press conference naked if he claimed the title.
Williams arrived naked apart from a sponsors towel sparing his blushes - under orders from supremo Barry Hearn - but soon took it off after sitting down.
However, Williams found something deep within himself to grind out a victory that makes him the oldest world champion since his fellow Welshman Ray Reardon in 1978.
Higgins lost 18-16 to Williams on Monday despite mounting a sensational fightback, finishing as runner-up for the second year in a row - Mark Selby the victor last time around.
And if he can somehow retain his title, the veteran has made an even bolder claim.
"If I won this again next year, I'd do this again - I'd cartwheel round here naked", he added.
'I don't know where that last break came from but it's one of the best I've made under pressure in my life.
"I was just practising for them the last time I won this tournament", Williams said of his sons.

Habib Shah Ansari, head of the Khost health department says 17 are confirmed dead. The attack was claimed by the Taliban.
"It was a good match to watch but obviously I'm disappointed".
'It's unbelievable. Twelve months ago I wasn't even here.
He said: "I am a little bit uncomfortable at the moment - it's a bit cold in here!"
Instead, the Welsh wizard forged further clear, taking his winning run of frames to seven and establishing a 14-7 lead helped by breaks of 61, 56, 69, 56 and 52.
But Williams faltered, missing a pink that was match ball. I just did something I thought I would never ever do.
"What an occasion. To play John in the Crucible in the final is an unbelievable occasion and I'm so glad I won".
It was a case of be careful what you wish for with Welshman Williams, who made the cheeky promise earlier in the tournament to attend his press conference naked should he clinch a third world crown at snooker's mecca.
"I was 14-7 behind and I was anxious if I would (not) take it to the fourth session", Higgins said.
