Actor Nana Patekar on Monday cancelled a press conference where he was due to address the sexual harassment allegations levelled against him by actress Tanushree Dutta. Taking cognisance of Tanushree Dutta's complaint against Nana Patekar, the women's body has asked for an update of investigation and asked Tanushree to come to the commission's office to record her statement. The Aashiq Banaya Apne actress had accused the veteran actor of sexually assaulting her on the sets of Horn Ok Please in 2008.
Dutta said she had also received "violent threats" from the fringe, far-right nationalist group Maharashtra Navnirman Sena and has been hounded by a "smear campaign" on social media since reiterating her claims against the pair.
However, on the forth day of the shoot, Patekar's behaviour was inappropriate as he was grabbing her by the arms and pushing her around on the pretext of teaching her some steps, the complaint said.
Ganesh Acharya also denied the incident.

Boston Red Sox pitcher David Price has struggled in the postseason throughout his career - and this year has been no different. Having Severino start the fourth inning is no problem, but at least have some arms getting loose in the bullpen just in case.
"This is the age-old saga of survivors in our nation", she said. But according to her, it was not a complete statement and many portions of it were deleted. "I am claustrophobic anyway, I need to move around", she added.
Patekar, who was shooting for upcoming film "Housefull 4" in Jodhpur, landed here Saturday.
The 67-year-old actor's lawyer has sent a legal notice to Tanushree Dutta for allegedly making false accusations against him in an incident that dates back to a decade.
Tanushree Datta alleged that Nana Patekar had misbehaved with her while filming a song 10 years ago.
