"In the days just before and just after that vote, Sen".
Trump revealed that he watched the Texas senator debate his leftist opponent, Beto O'Rourke, on Tuesday night. Trump carried the state by almost a million votes in 2016.
O'Rourke's position on impeaching the president apparently has changed during the campaign.
O'Rourke used the nickname Trump gave Cruz during the 2016 Republican presidential campaign.
Cruz and O'Rourke, who first debated September 21 in Dallas, may have sparred for the last time before Election Day when they took the stage in San Antonio. O'Rourke may not want to go negative, or receive any help from PACs, but FireTedCruz, with a little help from Austin director Richard Linklater, sure has found a few gaps in the senator's armor.
Over the hourlong event, the El Paso congressman took a series of harsher-than-usual swings at Cruz - including a couple of blows evocative of the senator's battle with Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential race.
Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle announces she is pregnant
The announcement comes as Harry and Meghan landed in Sydney to begin their 16-day tour of Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific. She sent her "warmest congratulations " to Prince Harry and the former Meghan Markle on Monday. "Wishing them all the best".
Cruz laughed it off and tried to turn attention back to polls that show the Democrat falling behind the Republican.
Cruz's retort: "It's clear Congressman O'Rourke's pollsters have told him to come out on the attack".
Cruz said O'Rourke was eager to begin impeachment proceedings against Trump that would lead to a partisan circus.
In the clip - which was funded by the "Fire Cruz" PAC - a man sitting at a diner says, "Everybody I know in Texas likes Whataburger".
O'Rourke said there needed to be a greater focus on screening methods for people entering the country, and hit Cruz for his vote against a permanent solution for Dreamers, recipients of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. Ted Cruz, the president's campaign announced Monday night. "If you have this special relationship with President Trump, then where is the result of that?" He accused his opponent of being "all talk and no action". "The tariffs that the president has levied, the trade wars that he has led us into, is hurting no state more than it's hurting Texas".
U.S. Rep. Beto O'Rourke, D-Texas, left, and U.S. Sen. Cruz called it socialized medicine that the US won't be able to afford. "It's why the president called him "Lyin" Ted' and it's why the nickname stuck - because it's true".
Cruz has made gains in Texas by hammering O'Rourke as out of step with Texas voters because of his liberal stances, including his support for universal healthcare, a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, and some gun-control measures.
