Members of the armed forces and veterans have found a good partner with mother-daughter team Karen Stein and Ariel Palmieri. The team-up that built Ariel & Karen Real Estate Team has helped military clients buy and sell homes.
According to Coldwell banker, Stein and Palmieri have closed nine transactions on behalf of armed forces members and veterans. Unique listings and sales have been completed by the mother and daughter team.
Recently, two cases found military clients unable to find the ‘perfect’ home during a short three-day home-finding trip. Stein and Palmieri spent time with the clients, gathered and understood their criteria, then went ahead and searched for a home on their behalf.
In one of the cases that Stein and Palmieri worked on, they found a home that was completed for another buyer. Since the buyer was unable to obtain financing, the builder put it up on the market. After taking a video of the home and showing it to the client via YouTube, the client loved it.
Stein shares, “They approved and purchased the home from more than 1,500 miles away. They did not see the home until after escrow closed and they arrived to Oxnard with their moving truck not far behind. Fortunately, they loved it, reporting it was ‘better than they anticipated.’”
The mother-daughter Realtors also assist in selling homes for those serving in the military, especially those who need short sale due to deployment or reassignment. Recently, two military sellers were helped by the team as one is relocating to the East Coast and another is deploying to the Middle East.
The two sellers were eligible for the Department of Defense Housing Assistance Program. The said program allows military people to sell homes purchased during the real estate boom for a price lower than what is owed without hurting their credit rating. Stein and Palmieri, having much experience working with the Department of Defense Housing Assistance Program, use an electronic signing system that allows those overseas or out-of-state to sign contracts over the Internet.
Military men and women are under a lot of pressure whenever they are deployed or reassigned. The Ariel & Karen Real Estate Team has done a lot to take a load off their shoulders through aid in assuring that escrow process moves swiftly and in issues arising after closing a deal.
